The object of the plant is to remove oxide scale from heated steel parts to be forged in a press or by a power hammer. The plant is used by a single furnace-press (or furnace-power hammer) unit, and the scale is eliminated during the path which the part (1') follows from the furnace (F) to the press (P) (or to the power hammer P). Along this path the part (1) enters a chamber (4) in which it passes through a ring (5) which is provided with a plurality of nozzles (6) facing the interior of the ring, which nozzles spray the part with pressurized water obtained from an oleodynamic system in which fluid is maintained under pressure in order to act on a hydraulic system which is connected to the spray nozzles. The spraying command, which is suitably delayed, is issued when a part passes in front of a photoelectric cell (PH), before entering the chamber. <IMAGE>
