1-methyl-4-piperidinol esters of the formula: <IMAGE> in which R is 7-chloro-4-quinolyl, 7-trifluoromethyl-4-quinolyl or 8-trifluoromethyl-4-quinolyl. These compounds and physiologically tolerable acid addition salts thereof may be used as medicines especially in the treatment of inflammatory processes and painful syndroms.
