摘要 Two suction pipes (1, 2), which work on the jet-pump principle, are connected to a compressed-air pipe (5). A storage pipe (4) is provided with a yarn-suction orifice (4b) and is connected to a vacuum source (13) via a conduit (9). The yarn, which is spun by a spinneret (15) and which is guided to a yarn body (19) by a drawing-off roller (16), is reknotted in the event of a yarn break by a knotter (3). For this purpose, the yarn running via the drawing-off roller (16) is picked up at the yarn-suction orifice (4b), held in a U-shape as the result of suction action in the storage pipe (4) and guided via guide pin (20) to the upper suction pipe (1), whilst the lower yarn end is guided via a further guide pin (21) into the other suction pipe (2), so that the two yarn ends can be connected in the knotter (3), the excess yarn being retained in the storage pipe (4). The device makes it possible, even at high spinning speeds, to bridge the unavoidable yarn breaks on open-end spinning machines without an operational interruption. Yarn entanglements as well a reduction of the yarn tension and the formation of loops and knotty threads are effectively prevented. <IMAGE>
