Two way linear actuator with integral inverter - has inversion directly actuated by piston at end of stroke

The two way linear actuator has an integral inverter. Retraction of a piston (3) is effected by pressurised fluid entering a cylinder (C3) through an inlet port (P) and interconnecting channel (15). At the end of the forward stroke, the end (10a) of the piston closes a valve (4) normally held open by a soring (4a). It then uncovers a side port (11) in the upper cylinder (C1), allowing pressurised fluid onto the other side of the piston which then returns by differential force. The actuator is reset by internal isolation of the pressurised fluid.
