<p>The motor is based on the conversion of an alternating and linear mechanical movement, created by the action of electromagnets, into circular motion. The electromagnets, normally four, are set in a row with their axis defining a chamber in which moves the armature. The armature is held centrally by a slide using PTFE bearings, and continued as an oscillating connecting rod pivoted at the slide and at a crank driving the shaft of a flywheel. The flywheel movement drives a switching distributor controlling the supplies to the magnets such that they create a field causing the armature to move axially within them.</p> |
