The decorative partition comprises at least two flat plates movable transversely relatively to one another along a support. The plates mutually cover one another at least partially, to build up, in each overlapping zone, a compound pattern different to the individual appearance of each member. The plates have a rectangular frame containing parallel slats in diagonal (5), vertical (6) or horizontal (7) alignment.
