Frame for trawl fishing - has hydraulic cylinders to lower and raise frame increase stability and to facilitate net handling

The frame holds the trawl net over the stern of the vessel and comprises a portal subframe fixed vertically to the deck. This is provided with telescopic action uprights, these being raised and lowered by a pair of hydraulic cylinders (1), one each side. This vertical subframe also carries a horizontal subframe, each side. This can be extended and retracted horizontally by similar hydraulic cylinders (3), these being capable of independent operation to facilitate handling of the next and to increase the stability and manoeuvring of the vessel.
