The document file has pins passing through perforations in the margins of the paper sheets and with fixed and movable sections. The movable sections (6,7,8) are joined together by a bar (12) parallel to the paper edge between their feet at the ends opposite to the free ends (19) working with the fixed sections. The bar is secured in the radial direction between stops and an elastic locking catch forming part of the mounting, while other stops, also forming part of the mounting, locate it in the axial direction. The locking catch and stops allow the bar to turn freely about its axis.
