<p>A key is used to rotate the latch bar (3) which is triggered by the passage of a coin which drives an electric motor having a disc (5) connected to its shaft via reduction gears. A V-notch on the disc edge actuates a micro switch (6) which turns off the motor after one complete revolution of the disc. An eccentrically mounted pin on the disc passes through a rod (8) which lies in a plane parallel to the disc, and as the disc rotates the rod draws a sliding plate (10) in a plane parallel to the disc backwards and upwards against a spring. A V-shaped slot (10(4)) in the sliding plate (10) holds in conjunction with a stationary pin, the plate in the withdrawn position, leaving the latch bolt free to rotate when operated by the key(S). When the key is returned to the closed position the spring snaps the sliding plate back into place.</p> |
