<p>The pressure-operated friction clutch and double brake mechanism is particularly for intermittently driven machines such as presses, hammers etc. It has a clutch engaged against spring action and two brakes, axially alongside each other and supported together on the stationary part of the machine. The mating pressure plates of clutch and brakes are part of a hub fixed to the shaft to be driven and braked. The actuating plates of clutch and brakes slide axially on bolts (14) with stops (25) fixed to the hub. The hub comprises two external (17, 18) and one central (7) annular flanges, fixed together and spaced in the axial direction.</p> |
