The pushbutton switch has a pushbutton slidable towards a orinted circuit board (3) against a coil spring (R1). The facing surface of the printed circuit board carries a number of contacts (31) with which depending leaf contacts (50) of a metal ring contact of the pushbutton engage. The ring is located internally of the pushbutton, resiliently pressed against the base (15) with the least contacts passing through holes in the base. The ring is tilted so that one leaf contact (501) engages its associated printed circuit board contact after the other leaf contacts have engaged, on the pushbutton being pressed.
