Premixer for aggregates, foods, chemicals or dyes etc. The various constituents required for a mixer are fed into a row of tanks; and each tank has a bottom outlet located above a conveyor belt. Outlets are much narrower than the width of the conveyor belt, so parallel rows of the different constituents can be fed onto the belt for initial mixing. In an alternative premixer, all the outlets are aligned in one transverse row above the conveyor belt. The premixer can be used e.g. for the initial mixing of solids, which are then fed into a concrete mixer rotating on a lorry. The final mixing time can be decreased.
