Air humidifier in which water is evaporated by being brought into contact with a plate which is kept at a predetermined temp. pref. by a thermostat is described. The quantity of water evaporated is automatically controlled w.r.t. the humidity of atmos. which is required. Water is pref. applied to the plate via a sparge pipe supplied from the water supply via an automatic solenoid valve. The solenoid valve is controlled by a simmerstat triggered by a hyerostat. The hygrostat can also control heating of the plate. The plate can have a covering of absorbent material to spread the water. Used for raising the humidity of an enclosed space, partic. the interior of a bakery dough proving chamber. This humidifier uses less energy and gives more precise control of humidity than previous systems.
|
