<p>The centring control corrects the sidewards movement of the band (11) via a rotary disc (10) positioned beneath it, from which two angled guide surfaces (12,12') project, so as to engage the opposite side edges of the band (11). The side edges are also engaged by sensors (20) for detecting the sidewards movement of the belt (11), to provide a correction signal for a drive used to adjust the angular position of the disc (10). The two guide surfaces (12,12') pref. comprise two rollers with their axes attached to the centre of the rotatable disc (10), its axis of rotation being normal to the plane of the conveyor belt.</p> |
