The dispenser comprises a piston forcing the liquid through a spray nozzle. A guide rod is fixed to the piston and has a circumferential groove locking the piston in the retracted position. A spring (10) is provided to control the rod and piston action and this has two parallel transverse arms (10a,10b) one each side of the rod (6) and locking in the groove. These arms can be separated by a cam (14) which has inclined planes to separate the arms and notches each side to release the arms into the groove.
