The playing surface (4) of the table (3) has open peripheral sections which open into a collecting channel (7) and closed peripheral sections which are closed by beams (6,6') which project beyond the playing surface and provided with cushion edges (16). The playing surface is pref. rectangular with its longitudinal edges closed by the cross beams and the transverse edges open running into the channels (7). The game can now be played where the balls are reflected off the cushion edges but roll off into the side channels. The open sides also allow easier handling of the balls.
