Oil fired furnace flue damper - is actuated dependent on oil pressure

The damper is for use in the flue from an oil-fired furnace etc., and is actuated by a mechanism (4-11) dependent on oil pressure. Typically this can be done by a hydraulic pipe connected to the pressure side of the oil pump, and with a linear or rotary function, the damper (1) shutting on oil pressure failure. The design affords a simple means of reducing heat loss from an automatically-operated boiler etc. when the flame is shut off.
