<p>The thrust system uses a current conductor cooperating with the earth's magnetic field. The current conductor is formed as an astatic coil (2) associated with a magnetic amplifying element (33) for concentrating the flux lines of the magnetic field within the vicinity of the coil. Pref. a superconductive circular coil (2) is used, a magnetic amplifier ring (31) on one side of it, together with a conical magnetic conductor (32) attached to the amplifier ring (31) around its edge having the lesser dia., its surface having a magnetic thin-film coating. The thickness of the latter increases along the length of the magnetic conductor (32) towards the amplifier ring (31).</p> |
