An air passage(5) is formed in a weft yarn(10) grasping means to permit the passage of air therethrough on weft yarn releasing acton of the grasping means, so that any yarn waste and miscellaneous gathering in the grasping means are removed by the passing air. An air jet weaving loom in which the passage of the yarn waste removing is at least one groove longitudinally formed in rod member of grasping.
