Pressure measurement of corrosive, sticky, clogging medium - using tubular membrane conducting medium and transferring pressure to manometer

The pressure measurement device is used in conductors or containers of media which are corrosive and tend to stick and clog, e.g. acidic chemicals. It isolates the manometer measurement mechanism from the medium and does not interrupt flow in the conductor. It does not cause turbulence or sedimentation and can be fitted or retrofitted to each conductor without dismantling the conductor. The medium flows through a tubular elastic membrane (5) built into a tube housing (1) so as to be pressure tight. The space (13) between the membrane and the housing is an air or oil chamber which is connected to a conventional manometer (25). The membrane ends have rims (6) fitting in an annular housing recess (3). This sealing arrangement is tensioned by an elastic sleeve (7).
