Waste gas flaring-off burner - has flaps thrust mechanically into position shutting mixing tube primary air inlets

The gas burner is particularly for flaring off waste gas. It has a gas outlet nozzle discharging into a mixing tube extending upwards and containing lateral inlets at the nozzle opening for primary air. These inlets can be shut by flaps thrust by mechanical pressure into the shut position. The flaps are so mounted that the pressure difference generated by the gas flow from the nozzle between the static pressures on outside and inside causes them to move into the open position. The inlets and flaps can be spaced round the periphery of the mixing tube.
