<p>PURPOSE:To deaerate and seal a plurality of dried persimmons, easily, and to enable the long-term preservation of dried persimmon, by uniting a plurality of dried persimmons into a cylindrical form, packaging the cylinder with a flexible film, and wrapping and sealing the outer surface of the film with a single faced corrugated fibreboard facing its corrugated face inside. CONSTITUTION:Stones and a calyx are removed from a dried persimmon. Several to several tens persimmons 1 thus treated are united into a nearly cylindrical bundle 2, which is wrapped with a broad flexible film 3 and placed on the corrugated face 5 of a single faced corrugated fibreboard 4 having a length a little longer than the outer circumference of the persimmon bundle 2. The persimmon bundle 2 is wound tightly with the corrugated fibreboard 4 to deaerate even the inner part of individual dried persimmon 1 with the pressure exerted by the corrugated face 5 of the fibreboard 4. The single faced corrugated fibreboard 4 is used as an inner packaging material. The dried persimmon cake thus prepared can be stored more than 2 months in summer and exhibits beautiful patterns similar to the rings of a tree when cut in round slices.</p> |
