<p>A light source device comprises a light source lamp (1) detachably fitted to a light source lamp rest (9) mounted on a housing (4), and a reflection mirror-retracting mechanism (12) comprising a swing member (42) on which a reflection mirror (28) is carried, and which swings between a first position in which the swing member (42) causes the reflection mirror (28) to face one end of the light source lamp (1) and a second position in which the swing member (42) retracts the reflection mirror (28) from one end of the light source lamp (2), and fixing means (43) for locking the swing member (42) in the first position. The arrangement allows for the fitting, removal or replacement of the light source lamp (1) without releasing the reflection mirror (28) from its place each time.</p> |
