PURPOSE:To precisely control the starting current, the torque and the speeds of the induction motor by rectifying the secondary side output of the motor and supplying the rectified output through a chopper to a load. CONSTITUTION:When three-phase alternating currents are applied to the primary winding of the induction motor 10 to start the motor, three-phase alternating current of voltage proportional to the slip is taken place at the secondary winding 10a, is applied to a rectifier circuit 11, is rectified to apply a DC voltage corresponding to the three-phase AC voltage to the chopper 12. A pulse duration control unit 13 supplies a pulse corresponding to the set value by a variable resistor 14 to the chopper 12, and the chopper 12 produces an output to a resistor 15 to be thus consumed. |
