PURPOSE:To contrive the reduction in size and weight of the AC motor by using a part of a winding of the motor as a winding for two speeds. CONSTITUTION:A voltage between U and V, that is, a voltage between R and S is applied to a circuit of windings A1, A2. In the positive half wave of the voltage, a controlled rectifier Q1 is conducted in a firing angle pi/2 to supply a current to the winding A1. When the voltage becomes negative, a controller rectifier Q2 is conducted in a firing angle pi/2 to the winding A2 to supply a current thereto. A voltage delayed in pi/2 is applied to the windings A3, A4. In this manner there are sequentially formed a north pole at the winding A1, then a south pole at the winding A3, subsequently a north pole at the winding A2, and a south pole at the winding A4. |
