Silicone oil, emulsion or lacquer is applied to the aluminium or alloy sole plate of an electric iron by spraying or from an impregnated cloth. Application is preferably at about 200 degrees C. A durable non-stick corrosion-resistant surface is claimed that may easily be renewed. |
