<p>Special support garment for the newly-born having congential malformation is designed to keep the legs apart and thus prevent dislocation of the hip-joint. A cushion of polyurethane foam is inserted into a knitted cotton casing mounted on the garment. The cushion maintains the child's legs apart without pressure on his inner thighs. The support garment comprises a washable canvas strip covering the back, passing between the legs and folding upwards to the chest. Brace straps which cross over at the back are mounted using 'Velcro' (RTM) fixings.</p> |
