PURPOSE:To automate the test, by confirm the performance of a facsimile storage converting unit directly to make quantitative appreciation possible by transmtting and receiving test data between an artificial terminal circuit and the converting unit. CONSTITUTION:When control part C of the facsimile storage converting unit indicates the constitution of test data, indication is transferred to artificial terminal circuit F through interface I of the testing machine, and test data of a facsimile signal format is transmitted to the converting unit. This data is subjected to redundancy suppression coding in signal converting part S of the converting unit and is stored in storage part M and is transferred to control part C and is compared with the first indication data, thus appreciating an error generation degree quantitatively. Meanwhile, test data of the redundancy suppression coding format is stored from control part C into storage part M and is transferred to converting part S and is decoded to a facsimile signal and is transmitted to the testing machine. Circuit F returns this data to control part C, thus appreciating an error generation degree quantitatively. |
