The calibre reducer for a central percussion firearm, consists of a tube (12) introduced into the barrel (14). The bore of the tube is on its greatest length. The end (21) opposite the chamber is centered relative to its peripheral thrust surfaces. The chamber axis (8) is inclined to the tube bore so that the periphery of the chamber outlet on the firing pin side passes through that of the tube bore. The chamber part inclined to the tube bore is seated to the tube bore by a curved bore (7).
