<p>The snow chain has a carrying frame (21) and radial arms (5) lengthened by curved anti skid sections (6,6a) transversely across the tyre (1). The structure has an adjusting ram (7) for tensioning the arms on the tyre. The ram is pneumatic and straight. The frame has two permanent mounting points for radial arms. The ram rod is for fixing to a quickly moved adaptor (29) on a third radial arm. The ram is a single acting type to withdraw a tensioning rod (8).</p> |
