PURPOSE:To generate stably odd-degree and even-degree higher harmonics, by adjusting the time constant of the time constant variable differentiating circuit, which generates the square wave of a required width in the harmonic producer, by the vertically symmetrical wave or the unipolar wave generated from this square wave. CONSTITUTION:The sine wave applied from input terminal 1 is deformed to a square wave by waveform converting circuit 4 and is differentiated to a required pulse width by time constant variable differentiating circuit 5 and is applied to polarity converting circuit 31. Even-degree higher harmonics are obtained from output terminal 11 of waveform shaping circuit 6 through filters 18-1-18-n, and a vertically symmetrical wave is generated by 1/2 frequency divider 7, switch circuit 8, and synthesizing circuit 9 and is caused to pass through filters 16-1-16-n to obtain vertically symmetrical odd-degree higher harmonics. One of the unipolar wave and the vertically symmetrical wave is selected by manual switching circuit 20 and is converted to a DC voltage by DC circuit 22 and so on, and the time constant of time constant variable differentiating circuit 5 is controlled by this DC voltage to adjust the output pulse width. Consequently, a very stable harmonic producer can be obtained without a nonlinear circuit. |
