Elbowed coaxial plug for HF line - has walls of shell bent over to cover connection with insulation between shell and pin

The elbow plug for connecting a coaxial cable carrying a high frequency signal consists of a tubular metal shell (6) joined to the outer cable, an axial pin (5) joined to the inner conductor and isolated from the shell and an insulating body. The cable (1) enters the metal shell radially and the walls of the shell are bent over (7) to cover the connection but leaving space for the cable to enter and insulating material to fill the space between the pin and the shell. Part of the central pin has a square secti on (12) bedded in the insulating material to prevent the pin turning. The lid covering the connections (7) is formed from two flaps which are attached to the shell. The connector consists of two metal parts and insulating material and is simply constructed.
