Regulation mechanism for constant or variable light sources - uses photocell, and potentiometer adjusted RC oscillator and frequency divider to prevent hunting effects

The regulation mechanism proper may be mechanically or electronically based but is controlled from an electronic source. The source is based on a variable resistance photocell, subject to the environmental lighting, feeding a bridge and a frequency compensated operational amplifier. This supplies several threshold detectors each having an amplifier controlling the level of the mechanical or electronic power supply setting to the light sources. Seasonal temp. variations are compensated for by a transistor and amplifier with a stabilised supply. A variety of light source types is accommodated by a potentiometer adjusted RC oscillator followed by a frequency divider avoiding any hunting effects.
