The fuel consumption of a motor vehicle is a min. at a certain engine speed and is independent of gearing or loading. This condition is signalled by lamps coupled to an engine revolution counter. The latter (1) receives pulses from the ignition coil to produce an output for comparators (4a,b,c,) connected to a reference voltage circuit (29). The comparators drive lamp (6a,6b) driver transistors (5a,b,c) to provide green, orange or red indications to indicate fuel consumption conditions. The reference voltage for each comparator is chosen from engine speed and consumption curves. An amplifier (11) whose gain increases with signal input is connected via a differentiating circuit (13,14,15) to a comparator (16). The output is applied to an OR-gate (30) with the signal from an inlet manifold vacuum sensor to drive a lamp (22) circuit to indicate acceleration conditions.
|
