<p>A single panel is formed by a central core of cork (1) covered on each side with a layer of glass fibre covered with resin (2,3). One of the covers acts as a vapour or damp proof screen, the other as a protection against temperature variation and also acts as a stiffener. Two panels are used as a partition (A,B) and they are separated by a honeycomb panel of say cardboard (C), the whole assembly being light enough to be used for a complete floor or ceiling height.</p> |
