Metal packaging tin open at one end and made as a cylindrical container from sheet aluminium, sheet steel etc. which is produced seamless and in one piece by an extrusion and a stretching process. It has reinforced wall thicknesses in the area of the base and near the opening edge compared with the body wall as well as reinforced wall zones inside the body wall. The reinforced base area (1,1a) extends over the whole surface up to the area of the diameter of the body wall which remains the same (2) and the thickened zones of the body wall are formed as ring shaped wall reinforcements (3) on the interior of the container.
