<p>The cyclic pitch change for the blades of a helicopter is enclosed in a tubular housing (1) which supports an upper bearing (8). The blade (12) pitch is changed by the vertical motion of a collar (16) which engages the ball ends (17,18) of crankpins fixed to the inner ends of the blades. The collar (16) is moved by a rod (13) attached to a sleeve which is in turn attached to a screwed rod (26) which is actuated by a rotatable fitting (28) with a threaded bore. The rotor head is nutated by the sleeve (21) operated by pinions (39,40) which can move the cage (20) in two mutually perpendicular horizontal directions.</p> |
