<p>The holder extends at one end into two forked prongs designed to grip round two sides of the part of the knob-like lid handle which has a reduced dia. In the case of an arched handle one prong can be inserted through the hole. The other end of the holder remote from the prongs has an extension which supports the lid and holder against the outer wall of the saucepan. The holder has hooks between its two ends, and an extension or similar so that the holder can be fixed on the pan wall with its prongs pointing upwards and holding the lid. This leaves both hands free to attend to the cooking while ensuring that any condensation runs back into the pan.</p> |
