PURPOSE:To obtain the titled device capable of tracking the sunlight automatically and of being used in accordance with the depth of water by a method wherein a plurality of optical systems consisting of face plates and Fresnel lenses are arranged adjacently in the shape of a hill, and a convection duct is suspended to surround optical fibers for transmission. CONSTITUTION:A plurality of light-receiving optical fibers 2 of 0.5-2mu in diameter are bundled coherently to form face plates 1, and Fresnel lenses 3 are laminated on the lower surfaces of the face plates 1. One end of a bundle of light-transmitting optical fibers 4 is embedded at the focus M of the Fresnel lens 3, and a convection duct 5 is suspended. The sunlight collected by the face places 1 and the Fresnel lenses 3 is radiated into water to heat the water, and a riser current flow is generated by the convection of water. Accordingly, the sunlight can be collected over a long period of time and the solar energy can be utilized efficiently, even in the presence of rolling and rotation of the device due to waves. |
