Burner for liquid or powdered sulphur - air entering tangentially to axial sulphur flow for turbulent flow

Sulphur burner generating up to 20% sulphur dioxide in the produced gases using liquir or powdered sulphur. The burner is a circular vessel air entering tangentially on opposite sides the openings extending across the width of the vessel while sulphur enters and prodt. leaves through axial openings. The prodt. opening has a dia. of =0.45 of the dia. of the burner chamber. Width of the burner chamber is 0.2-1.0 of its dia. Highly turbulent flow in the chamber ensures formation of small liquid droplets and good contact with combustion air and reduces tendency of the sulphur to sublime.
