PURPOSE:To improve the operational efficiency and make it possible to correct automatically change of the light emission quantity dependent upon degradation, dirt, and so on of a lamp, by providing a switch means, a display means, the first and the second memory units, and a control unit. CONSTITUTION:For setting a copy density, when the operator operates keyboard switch 9a of operation part 9 while regarding display equipment 9b to set one of set values 0-9, microcomputer 14 performs operation on a basis of light quantity data of the first memory unit 10 corresponding to the set value and data, which is stored in the second memory unit 13 and indicates light emission capability of lamp 1 for copying just before, and outputs control signal Sv to lamp control circuit 15 and controls the phase so that a voltage required for obtaining the set light emission quantity may be output to lamp 1 if lamp 1 is normal and a voltage higher than this voltage for correction of degradation of lamp 1 may be output to lamp 1 if lamp 1 is degradated. Consequently, lamp 1 is lit with the light emission quantity corresponding to the set value to perform the exposure process, so that the copy of a desired density can be obtained. |
