The servo-assisted master-cylinder for one or two hydraulic brake circuits has a mounting (22) for direct attachment to a bodywork panel of a car. A radial plate (41) connected to the primary piston (8) projects radially through longitudinal windows (42) in the body surrounding the piston. The master-cylinder is assisted by a servo (2) surrounding the portion of the master- cylinder which contains the windows and incorporates sealing bellows (44) between the windows and the depression chamber (19) of the servo.
