PURPOSE:To obtain a heat-exchanger having excellent corrosion resistance against hot gas stream and capable of performing heat-exchange in high efficiency, by forming a plate or tubular heat-transfer wall with a sintered aluminum nitride having specific aluminum nitride content and heat-conductivity. CONSTITUTION:The objective heat-exchanger has a plate or tubular heat-transfer wall made of sintered aluminum nitride containing >=90wt.% of aluminum nitride and having a heat-conductivity of >=50 w/m.K. The sintered aluminum nitride has a heat-conductivity of >=50 w/m.K and produced by using a powdery mixture containing >=90wt.% of aluminum nitride and at least one kind of oxide or salt (e.g. carbonate) of yttrium, aluminum, calcium, etc., or silicon carbide, etc., as a sintering assistant, forming the mixture in a prescribed form and sintering under normal pressure or, hot-pressing the product. The present heat- exchanger can be used in the heat-exchange of high-temperature gas up to about 1000 deg.C in the case of oxidizing gas and up to about 1800 deg.C for inert gas. |
