METHOD OF AND APPARATUS FOR STERILIZING DEVICES

A high-frequency sterilizer consists of a high-frequency current generator and a cylindrical sterilization-chamber which is made of a nonconductible and heat-resistant material such as ceramic or plastic and is opened at one end of edge and also afford the space to the material to be sterilized. The coil is wound round the periphery of the chamber and is connected to the generator and also generates magnect field. Microorganisms on the material to be sterilized are sterilized by heat generated by the eddy current within magnetic field when applying the electric current to the coil. The sterilizer is very useful for medical appliances, esp. tubular connector used in peritoneum dialysis.
