PURPOSE:To enable the waste of scanning distance to be eliminated irrespective of original sizes by the simple constitution of detecting that the final end of the paper having been fed has passed the predetermined position of the paper feed route and ending the scanning of the original. CONSTITUTION:In a copying apparatus of the system of performing slit exposure by scanning the original, the route length l1 from a resist roller 15 up to where transfer paper reaches a photosensitive drum 1 and the distance l2 from the exposure center position on the circumference of the photosensitive drum 1 and the position where the transfer paper comes in are the same and when the final end of the transfer paper is detected by the photosensor 17 provided just before the resist roller 15, there is no more need for scanning the original; therefore, a monomulti vibrator 19 is triggered by the signal from the photosensor 17 and the forward movement of a light source and a mirror is stopped by the output signal thereof and this ends the original scanning. |
