Sheets 16 of flexible material having inner fastening strips 17 of the loop type to engage the fastening strips of the mandrel and outer fastening strips 18 of the hook type are rolled around the periphery of the mandrel such that the mandrel can subsequently dispense the sheets to engage complementary loop type strips provided around the periphery of the smooth surface 20 to be covered. The fastening strips may alternatively be adhesive strips and the material may be an insulating layer for use inside a tent or may be used as a wall cover or a closure member for a wall opening. |
