PURPOSE:To keep Br ions and carbonic acid ions in a developer at proper values by supplying water to an electrolyte soln. to be passed through concn. chambers in an amount correspounding to the extent of development to keep the electrolyte concn. of the soln. in the chambers constant when the developer is regenerated with an electrodialytic vessel. CONSTITUTION:In a method of circulating a deveolper berween the desalting chambers (each partitioned with a cathode side cation exchange membrane shown by the solid line and an anode side anion exchange membrane shown by the broken line) of ion exchange membrane electrodialytic vessel 6 and developer tank 1 of a developing apparatus, water is supplied from diluting water tank 9 to an electrolyte soln. filled in concn. chamber soln. tank 7 and to be passed through the concn. chambers (each partitioned with a cathode side anion exchange membrane and an anode side cation exchange membrane) of vessel 6 in an amount correspounding to the extant of development to keep the concn. of the concn. chamber soln. is kept at a fixed value of 2-20g/l as KBr, and Br ions in the developer are removed. The overflow of tank 1 is returned through storage tank 2, tank 3 where a replenisher and water are added from tank 4, and replenisher storage tank 5. |
