PURPOSE:To prevent the ignition timing from being retarded by a faulty knocking- sensing signal by stopping the retarding control of the ignition timing for a given period of time when the clutch is changed. CONSTITUTION:A vibration sensor 1 detects vibration having a specific frequency due to the generation of knocking. Its output is inputted to an operating and driving unit 10 through a processing unit 2, smoothing unit 3, comparing unit 4, integrating unit 5, comparing unit 6 and control signal-interrupting circuit 7. A clutch pedal switch 8, monostable multivibrator 9 and the cntrol signal-interrupting circuit 7 prevent the knocking-sensing signal from being inputted to the operating and driving unit 10 when the clutch is changed. Consequently, the ignition timing is prevented from being retarded by a faulty knocking-sensing signal. |
