<p>Each grinding shoe (4, 4') of the machine is connected, via a coupling member (11, 11') and an eccentric shoe (9, 9'), to an eccentric roller (8, 8') which is seated on an eccentric (7, 7'). The latter is set in slow motion by means of a geared motor (10, 10'). The grinding shoe (4, 4') thus effects an oscillating motion (18) which runs transversely to the advancement direction of the workpieces (6) and also runs transversely to the moving grinding belt (1, 1'). Irregularities, which would otherwise show up as longitudinal stripes on the ground workpieces (6), in the grinding belt and in the individual members of the grinding machine may thus be avoided in practice. <IMAGE></p> |
