PURPOSE:Titled friction-reducing agent which is easy to store and handle, provides desirable friction-reducing effects and is used after diluting with water at the time of use, prepared by adding both a high-molecular thickner and a fibrous material to a vegetable or mineral oil. CONSTITUTION:The one-pack type, greaselike friction-reducing agent is obtained by adding to a vegetable or mineral oil, a high-molecular thickner such as sodium polyacrylate and an organic or inorganic fibrous material such as asbestos, fiber length 0.5-1mm.. The friction-reducing agent is used after dilution with water. EFFECT:As the fibrous material absorbs the oil and the thickner, sedimentation and coagulation of the thickner is prevented. The agent can provide a coagulation-free product having high friction-reducing effects merely by immersing the agent in water for a short time at the time of use. In laying pipes such as Hume concrete pipes underground by a pressure-intrusion method or a shield method, the agent is conveniently used by pressure-injecting between the pipes and natural ground. |
